The ice cream shop by the lake in Hanoi

The state-run ice cream shop (Quán Kem Hồ Tây) in Hanoi reminds me of a similar shop in Pyongyang - perhaps the uniformed staff and their business like demeanour. The similarities end when you step out and see the neon signs and the fashionable locals. And my sparring partner/host this time around is not some secret agent but equally formidable Mien.
